    Coursework

    Depending on the program, you can enroll in online or hybrid courses. Online-only coursework is available for our license and endorsement programs, as well as most of the advanced degrees. For in-person coursework, Ashland University has classrooms conveniently located in both Columbus and Ashland.

    Ashland University’s online degree programs are flexible and designed to meet your schedule.

    Save 20% On Tuition

    Our M.Ed. programs cost $620 per credit hour with programs ranging from 30-36 credit hours. Enroll in Summer Institute and pay $496 per credit hour as long as you are continuously enrolled in the program.

    Ashland University Has Financial Aid Available

    Financial aid is available for all Ashland master’s degree programs.

    Jump-Start M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction

    Students can dive in and complete the nine-hour M.Ed. core courses required for AU’s Master of Education degrees. Complete the rest of your M.Ed. in 12-16 months.

    Reading Endorsement

    The Summer Institute Reading Endorsement focuses on effective research-based methods for already licensed teachers in the state of Ohio who have completed 12 hours of credit to meet the requirements of the Ohio Reading Core.

    The Gifted Intervention Specialist Endorsement comprises 18 hours of coursework focusing on the eight Ohio Department of Education Teacher Competencies and prepares teachers for the Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) Gifted Education test (053).

    School Superintendent License

    The School Superintendent License Program prepares educational leaders to become effective school district leaders by helping them develop the processes needed to gather, analyze and use data for ethical and relevant decision-making.

    Principal or CIPD License Workshop

    The six-hour Principal or CIPD License Workshop focuses on integrating theories and practices of educational leadership. It allows students with an M.Ed. in leadership or administration to earn a Building Principal or Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development license.
